Typesy continues to strive to improve an interactive learning platform that encourages adaptive learning for students. The tweaks made to the design of several aspects of the site improve these areas. This will make the site even more conducive to learning on an individual level. One of the biggest changes made was the ability for students to see their present status on the site, incentivizing them to try harder to improve. Several designs have been added to the game aspects that allow students to unlock features based on accomplishments. The site continues to make more engaging designs for the rewards for overall achievement.  Students can unlock a customizable avatar, for example, based on their level of achievement on the site. there have also been several tweaks made to assist teachers and administrators on the site. the setting menus have been updated to improve ease of use. Teachers will now find it easier to administer assignments and tests on the EDU mode. Also, the hall of fame option has been added to show the top achievers in your class. This will further motivate students to accumulate high scores on assignments. The hall of fame feature also allows teachers to display global stats instead of just their individual classrooms. Typesy in Focus: Real-Time Changes

The real-time changes made to Typesy have been shown to greatly improve the overall experience for students and administrators on the site. the ability to see your results in real-time as students is a great motivator. The ability of instructors to make real-time changes has also shown to help the entire class. Motivation and efficiency seem to be the two most important results of the real-time changes updates on the site. the motivation factor has mainly displayed by students being able to see their status on the site in real-time. This allows them to track their progress and try to improve. There are many incentives in the assignment and games on the site that encourage students to improve their status. One of the key changes is the ability for students to customize their personal avatar based on their status. This is a driving factor in increased engagement on the site. Being able to see where they stand in real-time is a great incentive for students to improve. This also helps teachers see which students need more instruction. Both the teacher and the student having this information is extremely helpful. There is a great value in a student knowing where they stand on their own as opposed to the teacher simply revealing their standing to them. this also frees up the teacher to skip the revelation of progress and what that entails and go straight into assisting the particular student with improving their skills. The real-time changes have done a lot…

Typesy Feature Update: Home Screen

The most important screen in any app or software is the home screen. If the home screen is hard to navigate and makes no sense then it turns users off to using the entire product. Why? Simple. Because it is frustrating and annoying, and there are more products out there with a better user interface. Typesy wanted to ensure that would never happen to their users. They have updated their home screen and made their already awesome user experience even easier! The new and updated home screen has four major sections, each one showing vital information and allowing you to easily monitor progress. It is intuitive and simple to use.  The first section, located in the top left corner, is the vital statistics area. This area leads to the courses that need to be completed and the games that are available. It also has a link that allows you to see improvement and progress. You will be able to see all of the important curriculum details here. The next section, located at the top right of the screen, is the current level. This will be displayed with the use of animated odometers showing current typing speed and current typing accuracy. The higher the student can get on the odometers, the more they have progressed in their learning!  The bottom left corner of your screen will let you know what’s next. This feature allows the user to see what they are working on. It includes a reminder to finish the current…

Typesy EDU: Subscription Reminder

Have you ever had a subscription to a service and suddenly you lost access? Did it take you a while to figure out why? Did you end up having to call customer service to figure it all out only to realize that you simply forgot to extend the subscription and this could have all been avoided had you just remembered to update and extend it? It happens to us all at some point. This is why there are now reminders. Typesy’s Subscription Reminders will show when your subscription is getting close to expiring and it hasn’t been renewed yet. Every page within the admin interface will have a reminder at the top of it letting you know when your subscription expires. If it is close to the due date, this reminder will be red. Once paid and renewed, it will disappear. If you want to renew and extend your subscription, the reminder makes it easy! All you need to do is click on it and you will be brought to the accounts subscription screen where you can extend your subscription and have it all taken care of. This is a simpler and more convenient way to handle renewal and extensions than just trying to remember the expiration dates or write it on a calendar somewhere. Once your subscription is extended the reminder will disappear until it gets close to renewal time again. By adding subscription reminders to the top of the screen, Typesy can now help its users keep track…

Typesy Updates: November 2019

There were several updates made to Typesy in November of 2019. These were in an attempt to improve the admin and user interfaces of the site. The primary updates are: Status Level Dialog  Tweaks Live Class Pause Adaptive Learning Prompt Design Blocky – the new Typesy character Addition of Dyslexia Font Each of these updates will likely have their own post to provide more information and details. We will briefly cover each one of them in this article. These updates are all key improvements to the site. Status Level Dialog pertains to the students being addressed by their status level that they attained on the site. This is more of a motivating feature than the students trying to remember it or being notified in the class of their achievements. This function makes sure that they are constantly aware of the level of their achievement by constantly displaying their status. All of the tweaks to the design and function of the site are meant to further engage the students and increase the ease of use for teachers. Attention-grabbing designs are important for interactive learning. This along with an easy to navigate admin section will greatly improve progress for you and your class. Teachers now have the option of pausing a live class. This prevents students from logging on and gives the teacher time to catch up on grading or other tweaks that you may need to make to the settings. This is a helpful option that allows teachers to further regulate…
